Meg, una gerente musical, viaja de Nueva York a Londres para dirigir una banda de chicos, Five Together, y encontrarles un número uno de Navidad para reforzar su carrera. Encuentra una canción en Internet publicada por una niña enferma de trece años, Nina, e intenta obtener permiso para que Five Together vuelva a grabar la canción, pero descubre que tiene competencia con el compositor, el tío de Nina, Blake.
