Polito (Silverio Palacios) es gerente de una sucursal de mensajería y paquetería en Izamal, Yucatán, quien busca cumplir su sueño de recibir un ascenso y tener una plaza en Cancún para mudarse con su esposa Teo (Amorita Rasgado) e hijo. Presionado por su mujer, estará dispuesto a todo con tal de conseguirlo y planea una estrategia donde logrará su traslado pero un poco más al norte: Tijuana. Solo y lleno de prejuicios, Polito se traslada a la que considera la tierra de delincuentes y pandilleros.
